Repair Risk Disclaimer
Electronic repairs are inherently unpredictable. In some cases, a device may be beyond repair or may become permanently damaged during the repair process and rendered unusable.
Circuit board components naturally deteriorate over time and may fail without warning—especially in liquid-damaged devices, where components can short-circuit, oxidize, corrode, or rust.
Repairs involving glued-on screens require careful prying to access internal components. Screens are extremely delicate and may crack or break during this process. While our technicians are highly experienced and the risk is minimal, breakage is still possible.
On Apple devices, Touch ID or Face ID may fail during repair and become unusable. Although uncommon, this can occur depending on the condition of the device.
Integrated or dedicated GPUs in laptops and all-in-one computers may fail without warning, particularly in older devices such as 2011 MacBooks or iMacs. Devices from HP, Dell, Toshiba, and other manufacturers with known GPU issues—regardless of year or model—may also be at risk.
While we make every effort to provide accurate and thorough estimates, all estimates are non-final and not guaranteed to be all-inclusive. Some issues cannot be identified until repair work has begun.
Estimates may change during the servicing process. If an update is required, we will notify you immediately and obtain your approval before proceeding. No additional work will be performed without your consent.
The original estimate remains valid within the scope of the initially approved service. However, we may advise if that service becomes unnecessary or unlikely to resolve the issue.
It is the customer’s responsibility to request an estimate or quote. By submitting a device to us, it is assumed that you authorize us to proceed with the repair attempt unless otherwise stated.
We accept all major credit and debit cards.
All invoices are issued with 30-day payment terms. LaptopMend will provide multiple payment reminders. If payment is not received within 30 days, the device will be considered abandoned and may be recycled without further notice.
